The Department of Physics is committed to fostering a deep understanding of the fundamental principles that govern the natural world. Studying mathematics is seriously prepares every one for almost any career. Mathematics holds unlimited career opportunities. Opportunities are waiting in the fields like Banking, Teaching, Information, technologies, Medical field and various Governments activities and projects.
Pure Mathematics, Applied mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial sciences, Bio math, Operations research, Econometrics and more in Research as well as education.
In our department we established Sigma Statistical Club. Our club had finished two surveys successfully in the title, News paper reading among students and survey on school dropouts and child labor around Thiruvallur districts. The students are participated in this activity eagerly. All our staff members participated in Workshop on “The Role of Teachers in Higher Education”
